Something New

As always my apologies for the darkness of my photos. I am obviously not a photographer. This is one of my first attempts at crocheting with wire. So far I love it. I haven't had the time I would like to figure this out and play with it....but once the holidays are over I will dive right in. Let me know what you all think. I'll try to post a few more pieces as I get them complete.

Busy Making Merry....

Market Day in Newnan, the last one of 2009.
It was bitterly cold and foot traffic was down from the usual.
But we had a great time anyway, regardless of sales!
We finally got to get together with our friend John. He was busy signing his book but made time for some photos.
My hubby's friend Eddy stopped by. He bought my favorite walking stick but I forgave him when I saw the photo he took of it. To see his beautiful work, go here.
C.S. joined us for lunch and decided on a monster hot dog.
John and his lovely wife joined us for lunch too. I would love to have a picture of her to post also, but we only have one of her eating and I didn't think she would appreciate it. :-)
Then my hubby had a wedding to do!
He officiated at the wedding of our dear friends Rob and Jen. They braved the cold to be married in the Kroger parking lot, commemorating their first meeting place.
Introducing the newly weds!
The guys posing in produce.
The new couple hamming it up.
LOL.
Sorry for not posting more lately but as you can see my dance card has been full. But keep checking in as I will be posting all my holiday wares....before I run out of time!

Purple Flower Power

One morning at work Miss.M approached me with a smile. She explained she was showing her daughter one of my pieces she had purchased and her daughter asked "When is she going to make one for me?". We laughed, we couldn't help it. After getting home, making dinner and whatever else there was to do I got busy. I knew her favorite color was purple and that I wanted to make something appropriate for a pre-teen. This one is for her and thankfully she loved it. ;-)

Happy Holidays

A few days ago I was checking the mail. Much to my delighted surprise I received a letter from artbeads.com. They are some of my newest acquaintances in the blogging world and have been so good to me. This theme continued as they were kind enough to send me a "Share the savings card". I was, needless to say, thrilled. But it didn't stop there, no, the happiness continued. Not only did they want to share this offer with me, they wanted me to share it with all my blog readers, friends and family. This savings card affords 10% off on all orders, no minimum purchase required, and it's good till the end of the year! So without further ado, from artbeads.com and myself, the savings code is as follows: SCF109-ARTBEADS-0424 . So head on over and and place your order to relieve all the stress of the upcoming holidays. Make gifts instead of shopping or just get away from all the hustle and bustle with your beads. I hope everyone has a very safe and happy holiday season.

Set for Shannon

I'm lucky enough that I get to work with a great bunch of people. One of my favorite's is Shannon. I have been telling her since she started that we must have been separated at birth, she is definitely my "sister". This one was for her and her love of butterflies.

Bamboo

Sorry the picture is not the best - I still need to work on my photography skills. I thought bamboo would be a nice break from the red. :-)

Holiday Cheer - Version 2

I liked my first version of this piece but some people just like a little dangle. This one is for them.

More Mother of Pearl...

I have been having a lot of fun with organic elements lately...shell, chips, the lot. I love the hint of blue in this one, it's subtle but lovely.

More Hearts...

I know that there has been an abundance of hearts lately but I can't seem to help myself. Hearts must be the trend right now as there are so many gorgeous ones out there.
