My father-in-law has been gone over a year now. I think I miss him even more now. I catch myself thinking of things I need to remember to tell him. Something James did that he would get a kick out of, or thinking of how much Patrick is grown and how proud I think he would be. His memory pops up for me at the most random moments....like in the bead store. As soon as I saw this pendant I could hear his voice in my head saying "the Lost Forest:...it's what he used to call his property. I worked on this and thought of him. It was painfully hard to sell it, but I can't help but feel I was meant to. You can't hold on to hard to things. You can only love them and then let them go when it is time to. I miss you Dad.
Rebecca and I were talking the other day of her love of navy blue and how hard it is to find jewelry in that color. I remembered that I had these beads and decided to make something that I thought would suit her. It did! She is now the proud owner of a navy blue bead and chain necklace. I hope she enjoys it.

With everything going on I am glad that I was able to get anything done. We are busy, busy, busy these days....but it's still good. Lots getting done around here and still a little time for beading. I can always sleep later right? :-)
I have been beading, honestly I have. I just have gotten behind with taking pictures and posting. I seem to be caught in a curious time warp where no matter how hard I grip it the sands of the hour glass just slip right through my fingers regardless. I have lots of new things to show you....hopefully I can get some up here this week. The two pieces posted here were fun for me. I love wooden beads and jasper. The jasper sold right away and the wooden bead set is still looking for a good home. That's ok, it can always just live with me.
I have been trying to use up some of the beads I have on hand. I have had these blue beads for a long time now. The caps and spacers are more recent finds.
When I finished this one I thought Kokopelli will like this...it indulges our love of blue.
I found some red jasper and fell in love with it. I found a focal piece, rounds and chips. The photo, as usual, doesn't do it justice. I am going to have to go back and buy more, then I can play with it some more. 
I was tagged by the Goblin...he told me I needed to go to the first file and upload the first picture. As you can see by the date it is an older picture. Taken at my in-laws 50th wedding anniversary party. That was a good night. Now, I have to tag 4 other people, hmmm......
Still not a lot of beading going on here, so busy. I managed to get a few more done so I will post them here for you. Hope you enjoy them. 
Not mcuh beading going on this week. My parents got here for a visit.
My husband, who carves wood, decided to carve himself. Seven stitches but no ligament damage. Thank goodness.
But that was another evening spent in the emergency room.
I did get some more memory wire done over the weekend.

I thought that the red beads and hearts was perfect with Valentines day coming. Now I need to get back to work and make some more as these all sold. If my biggest problem is selling out of inventory I will count myself lucky.
Just a few little things this weekend. Lots going on here trying to clean this house out. To much has accumulated over the past year and I just can't take it anymore. I did manage to fit in a few minutes to work on this charm bracelet. I put flowers, butterflies and a dragonfly charm on this one and decided to call it In the Garden.
