Sha-Sha's Order #3

She wanted something blue and then she also wanted something green. I was lucky enough to find something with both together.

Custom Ordered

Sha-Sha has had a flurry of orders this past month. It started with a simple request for something yellow. She wanted it for a particular outfit. She received so many compliments, and liked it so much herself, that she has asked me for further pieces. (I will have pictures of those coming). Thanks Sha-Sha, not just for your support and encouragement but for enjoying them. You make my jewelry look good! :-) Now I just need to get you your something red!

Treasures from the sea....

Another summer inspired piece. Shells pieces with pearl and sterling silver spacers. I was afraid it might be to much, but Miss. Martha didn't agree. She loved it so much she bought it and commissioned a matching bracelet. She also requested I add the shell element to the earrings. I should have taken a photo of those, but was in to much of a hurry to get them to her and I completely forgot. Gotta love a woman with the confidence to wear it and really pull it off. :-)

Dragon Fly

I made this piece about a month ago. I am constantly buying dragon fly pieces. Not because I like or dislike them but because my sister loves them. Working with them brings her to me and is almost like having time with her. As you might have read my Lola, her daughter, came to visit not long ago. She was kind enough to take this one back to give to her. When I asked her if she got her surprise she told me "it's fabulous". Praise from her means more to me than it might from anyone else and I am still holding it close to my heart. I hope you enjoy wearing it as much as I enjoy thinking of you wearing it. I miss you.

Spring Colors

I continue to try and branch out. Finding things that are out of my usual zone and trying something different. I fell in love with this vibrant green and had no idea what I was going to do with the beads. I lucked up on this pendant and the rest is history. I worried it would be one of those pieces that I liked, but ended up living with me. Not so much. It sold the day after I made it and it gives me great pleasure to see her wearing it. Thanks, as always, Miss. M. You make my jewelry look good.

blue Tear Drop Pendant

Kokopelli I found this lovely blue, swirled teardrop pendant and couldn't resist. I knew we would both love it. I like how the earrings worked out also...you know I love a dangle.

Wire Wrapped Beads

I wish I could take credit for wrapping these beads but that is a technique that I am still figuring out. I loved the swirls and the springs like spacers I was able to find to pair with them.

Zebras Pattern

I'm back from my trip. Burned but happy. I will try to post some of the photos from my trip this week. Today I am posting this zebra themed necklace. I love glass beads and these are really great.

Busy, busy, busy....

My Lola came to visit. You can visit her at Heart of Goldplate. I can't tell you how great it was to see you Lola-Folana. You make my heart happy and my sides hurt from laughter. You feel like home to me.
I was able to get some beading done this week. I had three orders to fill and slipped in a few pieces that just came to me, no instructions necessary.
I acquired a new assistant. His primary function is to help with listing the pricing. Everyone gets a big kick out of how well he is getting at writing out his numbers.
Patrick finally got to indulge his latest wish for a mohawk. His cousin, who he has called "sister" since he was old enough to talk, was able to give it to him. His Dad and I assisted with the finishing touches.
Steve was kind enough to take his vacation to drive all the way to Georgia to bring my Lola and my Bean for a visit. Thanks Steve. I have one word for you...inappropriate. Just try to fire me now! :-)

Last, but definitely not least, here is my sweet Bean. He is one of the sweetest little boys that I have ever had the pleasure to get to love. Remember Bean, Grauntie loves you...so much! If his cuteness is as addictive to you as it is to me then you can visit him too at Hey, Look! A Baby!
I miss you already blueberry, James misses you even more. He hid his face and couldn't bear to tell any of you good bye. After you left he cried his little heart out and told me he just couldn't stop thinking about you and he missed you so much it made his heart hurt so bad, a million.

I will be out of touch for a little bit. Going on a little trip with my sister in law, just us girls. So be sure to check back with me in a week or so and I am sure to have something new for you. Even if it is just pictures of my travels.
