Sometimes when I am looking over my beads my thoughts can't help but wander back to when my niece's were little girls. How they loved to go through my things. They would sit on my lap and look at what jewelry I might be wearing. Or watch me while I was getting ready. On the weekends when we would go and visit my parents I would dress them up like dolls and do their hair. I had the best time and hope that they did too. I wish I had been beading then because they would have loved it. When my thoughts wandered this path the other night I decided to make a necklace just the right size for a little girl. I chose these beads with the little mermaid in mind. I used simulated pearls in all shapes and sizes and found a charm fit for any little princess. I alternated this with some simple silver plated spacers. I hummed the songs from the movie the entire time I worked on it. Lola and Dreamboat this one was all about you guys. I miss you both.

can you make me a big girl sized one?:D
If I can find another pendant I will be happy to. Then you can have an Ariel's Dream too. I haven't forgotten the others that you wanted...just can't find another Frost quote yet. I will keep looking. :-)
This is just so precious! I don't really see Disney, though. I see Hans Christian Andersen, Victorian storybooks, and gilded memories. Just lovely.
I can see where you wouldn't see Disney and like all of what you did see. We would see Disney due to the many hours spent on weekend roadtrips, following the interstate in the dark. Being tired from working all day their job was to sing with me and help keep me wide awake...if it wasn't Kate Bush it was the Little Mermaid. It is woven into our history...a part of who we are to each other.
So cuuuuute!
Thank you Kokopelli...I thought it was cute too. Sweet, but not to much so.
